Mini Split Installation

Ductless mini-split systems offer a unique cooling solution for homes, providing individualized comfort without the need for extensive ductwork like traditional central air systems. These systems utilize a small hole in the wall instead of window space to facilitate refrigerant flow to each room. A key component is the condenser unit located outside the home, from which separate refrigerant lines run directly to each room through the exterior wall.

Distribution heads in each room handle the air handling process, with installation options including walls, drop ceilings, and floors. These heads are equipped with advanced controls such as thermostats, timers, remote control capabilities, and even motion sensors to tailor comfort levels on a room-by-room basis. Additionally, air filtration is available, providing localized air circulation within each room.

For larger spaces, dual-head systems can be implemented, using two refrigerant lines connected to the condenser unit. Multiple mini-split units can be installed, with up to four connections per condenser, making them suitable for whole-house cooling in homes where traditional ductwork is not feasible.

Ductless mini-splits are versatile and can be used for various applications such as heating and cooling additions, outbuildings, workshops, and garages. They are also commonly utilized as an add-on or zone-style cooling option to cool specific areas independently from the central air system. Whether it’s a home office, sunroom, nursery, or in-law apartment, ductless systems provide customizable cooling solutions tailored to individual spaces.
